Pete Lax is an anaesthetist, intensivist and pre-hospital emergency medicine physician whose clinical and academic work centres on the care of critically ill and injured patients.
His career has spanned civilian, military and academic healthcare systems in the United Kingdom and United States, including trauma anaesthesia, intensive care, HEMS, critical-care retrieval and transfer, remote and austere medicine, and major-incident response.
His military medical career with the Royal Air Force Medical Services has included the Critical Care Air Support Team, providing aeromedical retrieval and transfer on strategic and tactical platforms.
